NOT one, not two, but three steam trains will be puffing their stuff at Parklend on Saturday and Sunday July 2 and 3 in the Great Western Branchline Gala.
The Dean Forest Railway is operating three ex Great Western steam locos during the major event, which they say will be a wonderful day out for all the family.
There will be an intensive service of auto trains, branch passenger trains and goods trains and a few will be double headed. Trains commence at 9.30am until 5pm.
All three locomotives will be together at Parkend around 1pm and also 4.10pm each day, something not seen for decades!
The award winning museum, shop and Platelayers Cafe are all open at Norchard, near Lydney, where there is a large free car park.
Rover tickets are valid all day with prices and a full timetable available from the DFR's website http://www.dfr.co.uk">www.dfr.co.uk
