SIXTH formers at a Forest school gave themselves a mountain to climb to raise money for charity.

Eleven students at Wyedean School in Sedbury climbed up and down the stairs of the sixth form building 236 times, the equivalent of scaling Mount Everest.

Head girl Beth Evans organised the ‘Everest Challenge’ to raise money for the Oliver King Foundation which campaigns to raise awareness of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome or SADS.

The team used break and lunch times and self-study periods to complete the challenge.
