I AM writing on behalf of the Five Acres Lawn Tennis Club to thank you for printing an article and picture of our club. This showed our club temporarily (we hope!) relocated from Five Acres, near Coleford, to the modern courts at Dene Magna Community School in Mitcheldean, and welcoming new members of all playing standards.

Since your article we have already had half a dozen Mitcheldean residents joining us for our club sessions on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. This has added to the vibrancy of club sessions and created new friendships.

As you mentioned, one of our goals this season is to help to create a Mitcheldean Tennis Club who, like us, can cater for the new and 'rusty' players in our areas, and also provide some friendly competition for us in the future. Partly thanks to your article this is now looking like a real possibility.
