THE sun shone for the Friends of Lydney Hospital annual coffee morning held at Bream Cross Farm owned by Jock and Margaret Reeks, long-term supporters of Lydney Hospital.

Around 60 people, including Forest MP Mark Harper, enjoyed tea or coffee and cakes. Flowers and vegetable plants were snapped up in the first few minutes.

A bric-a-brac stall was popular and virtually sold out and a total of just under £700 was achieved. The Friends said they would like to thank all who planned, organised, contributed and or attended the event.

•The annual Lydney Hospital Fete takes place in the hospital grounds at Grove Road on Saturday July 21, starting at 2pm.

The Friends say they would appreciate donations of items such as cakes, plants, produce, bric-a-brac, toys, book and bottles. For more information visit http://www.friendsoflydneyhospital.org.uk">www.friendsoflydneyhospital.org.uk
