I AM a bit confused. One minute every library in the county is under threat from either having its hours slashed or its staff facing the sack. Now the three main libraries within the community are increasing hours and have plucked new staff out of nowhere. Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to how this works?

On a seperate note I see the eyesore that was once owned by Woolworths in Cinderford is empty again. I can only hope the lease is now in the hands of someone who can breathe life back into it, something which is three years overdue.

I for one welcome a new supermarket coming to Cinderford.

The Co-op has had a stranglehold on the town for too long and by allowing someone else to rival them it can only be good for the customer. I don't believe for a minute that Cinderford town trade will fall away. In some respects it already has with new opportunities and avenues coming on stream.

A new supermarket will only benefit the town in respect of jobs and I am sure as a result other companies will want to set up shop in the town or near the proposed supermarket.
