LIKE Cllr G Morgan, I was born in the Forest and have lived here ever since. Now I find the Government wants to sell off what we already own.

Like Graham I think they are only interested in the minerals that can be extracted.

If Mark Harper claims to represent his electorate – those who voted for him – then he should do just that and not what his leader wants him to do.

He should not forget his leader's words that if we are not satisfied with our elected MP then we could have them removed.

Mr Harper has stated he cannot attend a meeting at the Miners Welfare Hall due to other engagements but he will be calling a meeting himself once the White Paper has been produced. By then will it be too late?

Will all those concerned remember the last Tory sell-off – council houses- some 25 years ago. Some of those involved are now facing court proceedings.

Finally, if Mr Harper opts to ignore our requests on this issue than we can ignore his name at the next election. –

Harold Ennis, Ruardean.
