I wish to inform you that the news item in the Review (Jan 27 2012) about the Swan Inn at Pillowell is incorrect.

The Swan Inn is in Whitecroft and Pillowell as the dividing line at that time was a brook that ran under the middle of the pub!

I was born in the Whitecroft side on February 10, 1932, when my father Reginald Willetts was landlord.

We lived there until I was two years old.

There are pictures of me outside of the Swan on the Sun green site.

Always willing to help. The old miners used to crawl under the pub in the brook with a box on a rope to clear out the brook.
