MANY hard-working people on low incomes depend upon tax credits in order to get by and afford the essentials like food, warm clothing for the winter and school essentials for their kids.

That’s why the Conservatives promised not to cut them before the election.

Their proposals now will have a devastating impact on many families in this area and region.

I have written to my MP, Mark Harper, to ask him to support his many affected constituents in this matter rather than just follow the party line.

I have asked him to represent their views in Parliament and to tell us what he will be doing to stop these terrible cuts to hard-working families.

I urge as many other concerned readers to write to their MPs to try and bring an end to these cuts.
