I get it very regular

At least four times a week

It’s siting on the doorstep

As around the door

I peep

I wouldn’t be without it

To many its a boon

The morning milk delivery

— the next one’s due quite soon.

It usually comes quite early

Before I’m out of bed

Quite fresh for my cereal

Or I’d have toast instead

Thanks to the dedication

Of those tough early birds

Come rain or snow or sunshine

I’m writing these few words

So after due appreciation

I’ll do the best I can

And all that I can say is
