TWO budding young entrepreneurs have set up stall with a range of home-made, healthy treats for dogs and cats.

Sophie and Robbie Haines, who are pupils at Dewstow Primary School in Caldicot, got busy after making the treats for their own King Charles spaniels, Alice and Jack, and their eight puppies.

They were joined by mum Rachel at the Saturday market in Caldicot last weekend where the treats flew off the shelf.

The family looked up healthy treats for pets on the internet and got baking a range of biscuits and muffins.

Mrs Haines, who runs her own food business, said: “They are trying to earn a bit of pocket money but they are also learning about money and business.

“We made the treats for our King Charles spaniels who have just had eight puppies and they really enjoyed them.”

They plan to return to the market on Saturdays and Mrs Haines will also set up stall at the Tuesday Caldicot market.
