THE Forest of Dean District Council is proposing a medium term budget, which, if approved, will allow the Council to freeze council tax for the next four years, making a total saving of £2.3m.

The draft budget which willl be looked at by cabinet later this week will ensure there is no increase in councillors allowances for the next four years.

Other savings will be on adjusting opening hours, reducing members costs and cutting back on civic expenditure and car parking charges.
