THE focus of county rugby attention switches from Lydney to Cinderford this Saturday when Cornwall visit Dockham Road.

Surprisingly beaten by Hertfordshire last week, Cornwall will be anxious to make amends by sinking their age-old west country rivals.

In contrast Gloucestershire opened their campaign with a hard-fought victory over newly promoted Kent at Regentsholme.

Gloucestershire gave debuts to eight players and included a clutch of experienced Cinderford players in Paul Price (prop), Sam Wilkes (hooker) and Nevaro Codlin (wing). Lydney's Ben Lewis and Craig Jones came on as second-half replacements.

Local players were among the scorers, Sam Wilkes and Nevaro Codlin both scoring tries. Craig Jones also kicked a penalty.
