MUSICAL prodigy Alice Gwynne-Duggan has become one of the youngest ever to win two brass band competitions in a row at the tender age of seven.
And she only started on the tenor horn about six months ago.
Alice, who plays for Lydbrook Training Band, took part in two competitions organised by the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association, one in November and one last month.
She won the youngest junior section of the day last month and the Ivor Jordan Memorial Trophy in November.
Proud mum Tracy Gwynne said: "She's the youngest ever to have done that. She is very gifted."
Alice is not alone. Her musical gifts are shared among the Coalway based family. A born and bred Forester, mum teaches piano and plays for Lydbrook Training Band, while older sister Mollie, 11, is preparing for her grade 2 cornet exams and grade 4 piano exams in June.
