DEAN Heritage Centre has welcomed two new arrivals – piglets.
Famed for accommodating Gloucester Old Spot pigs, the Soudley-based tourist attraction has been busy letting the new residents settle in.
To celebrate, the centre is running a competition and inviting members of the public to name the piglets. The winner receives a free family ticket to the centre. To take part, send your suggestions to [email protected]
The piglets have been donated by Cotswold Farm Park.
Centre manager, Emma Smith said: “We’re extremely happy to have pigs on-site again. There has been a period of time in which we have unfortunately been without these animals, but I am pleased to announce that we can enjoy the build up to summer with these fantastic little additions to the centre.
“We really want the community to feel like a part of the centre and what better way to engage with the public than by helping us name our pigs. With two females on-site, I’m definitely looking forward to the unique and original name suggestions that visitors put forward.”
The arrival of the piglets precedes the return of the Gruffalo Trail on Saturday, July 30.
