AFTER a tough round of auditions and cracking jokes 10-year-old Isobel Johnson has featured on one of her favourite TV programmes.

The Cinderford girl will appear this Friday (January 22) evening at 5.30pm on the CBBC show Sam and Mark’s Big Friday Night Wind Up.

Her proud dad, Keith Johnson said: “I can’t believe Isobel has made it through to the live shows – I am so proud of her.

“In order to get on the show she originally sent in an application form and was then invited to audition, firstly via Skype from home where she had to give the interviewer a guided tour around the house and answer questions about children’s BBC personalities.

“Following that she and the rest of us were filmed at home by two researchers who came in person and asked us questions about ourselves – if we knew any jokes and so on. Isobel, her mother Evie, and five-year-old brother Jacob also sang Red Red Robin – I declined to take part!

“On the show itself she was called out of the audience to appear in a segment called “Mark Versus…” whereby she had to compete in a task against one of the two presenters.

“The particular task required them both to be blindfolded and lying down on the floor. They then each in turn had various things put on their faces by the star guest Joe Swash while Sam asked them to guess what it was.

“Isobel will also be appearing in a new “after show” programme they are doing for the first time this series called “Sam and Mark’s Big Weekend Wind Down” which will be broadcast at 9.35am on Saturday, January 23. In that she features alongside Joe Swash whereby they are asked by Sam and Mark to guess who various people on videotape are supposed to be lookalikes of.”
