POLICE are hunting three men after a reported rape over the weekend.

A woman reported that she was raped by three men near the pedestrian steps from Tutshill to the A48 on the new Wye Bridge at Chepstow.

The walkway was closed for most of Sunday with an officer stationed at the bottom.

A Gloucestershire Police spokewoman said: “A woman reported that she was raped by three men.

“It is believed to have happened on Saturday night or Sunday morning near the bridge in Sedbury, Tutshill.

“Officers are supporting the victim and conducting enquiries into the incident.”
