POLICE have appealed for information about a grey Ford Transit van after burglars struck three times in two Wye Valley villages yesterday (Wednesday, June 7).

The daylight raids took place in a six-hour window in Brampton Abbotts near Ross-on-Wye and Goodrich.

Jewellery was stolen from a property in Brampton Abbots and jewellery was stolen between 10am and 2.30pm (crime number 417-S-070617).

Practically every drawer was opened and searched in a second house break-in in the village, after raiders broke in through a kitchen window and stole items between 12 noon and 4pm (crime number 527-S-070617).

The third incident in Goodrich between 10am and 1.45pm saw raiders make a hole in a back garden window, using a screwdriver or similar implement. They ransacked the home and stole cash and jewellery (crime number 377-S-070617).

The raids may be linked and connected to another raid overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday in Rotherwas near Hereford, when a secured metal garage door was forced open and a child’s scrambler bike stolen.

Police are on the hunt for a suspicious grey Ford Transit van with the registration number NJ61 JGV.
