It was a dreadful week for Britain. The scenes of looting and violence appalled all decent people. However, was it really any surprise?

The United Kingdom Independence Party believes that it is the result of the liberal policies pursued by all the three main political parties over the last 30 years. These have destroyed the core social and moral values of society which bind us to a civilised code of behaviour.

Firstly, they have undermined marriage and traditional family values. This has meant a huge rise in the number of children brought up without a traditional male role model to bring discipline and respect for authority.

Secondly, discipline in schools has been fatally eroded and any meaningful sanctions available to teachers has been removed.

Thirdly, the police have been largely emasculated by political correctness and human rights which seem to always favour the wrong doer. Often their efforts are thwarted by a judicial system that seems to favour the offender and ignore the victim.

Finally, they have presided over a level of mass immigration destroying much of our historical national identity, and transforming large areas of our country into places that no longer look or feel British. This has also meant foreigners taking jobs from our own people and trapping many into a life of welfare dependency.

Time for a change.

Time to make marriage the bedrock of society. Time to restore discipline into schools and support the teachers. Time to take the shackles off the police and make the criminals afraid. Time for the criminal judicial system to hand out sentences that deter. Time to end mass immigration. Time to put British people first.

Above all, time to give the boot to the three main parties.
