Reading the complaints of the six Conservative councillors against David Norman, I was astonished at the sheer naked effrontery of their protestations of undying loyalty to the Forest campaign.

How many are on the HOOF committee? Where were they at the inaugural mass meeting in the Miners Hall, Cinderford? Where were they at the mass demonstration at The Speech House in January? How many of them displayed HOOF protest posters or tied yellow ribbons around trees in the Forest? How many attended the Warren James Bircham Wood protest walk? How many demonstrated against the Government policy at the Mark Harper shambles of a meeting? How many came to the ceremonial removal of the first HOOF poster after the Caroline Spelman apology?

None, I think I can safely say.

Their voting records on this subject are also public knowledge and don't make pretty reading.

Mr A Fraser even offered to run the Dean for us, as leader of an unwanted 'Charitable Trust'. Well, he would wouldn't he?

To misquote Will Shakespeare: "Methinks these Councillors do protest too much and should be ashamed of themselves."
