I WISH to express my congratulations to the people of Cinderford for staving off this small part of Tessa Cohen's organisation (Tesco) in their attempt to control the production, distribution and sales of food throughout Britain.
The storm clouds that gathered over the Forest have receeded and once more the birds have begun to sing. Could we not erect a monument in The Triangle to this victory? On second thoughts this would never get past the council planners.
On C.A. Sinden's most excellent letter of the 27 – although we do already have two supermarkets in the town, Councillor Holder's remark that "We can't even get one supermarket in this town" makes perfect sense if just for one Freudian moment, he forgot who he was working for. – Larry F Still, Soudley.
