A VILLAGE playgroup is to get a cash boost thanks to keen fun-runner Tracy Young.
Tracy, 39, will be pounding out the miles to raise pounds for St Briavels playgroup which is attended by her daughter, Scarlet.
"The playgroup does such a great job. It is expertly run by Jo George and offers all the youngsters a broad and balanced fun-filled start to their education. But it has to rely on charity and fund-raising so I thought I would do my bit," said Tracy.
Tracy, who lives in the village, will be running a half marathon on Sunday April 30. Her route will take her from her home through the village and on to Coleford. On the return leg she will celebrate with a lap of the village Recreation Ground.
"Everyone has been really supportive," said Tracy who has been running for around three years.
