LOCAL television producer Sarah Gordon Jones has bagged a prestigious award for her work with NBC America.
The 42-year-old, from Ruardean Woodside, says she was nominated in 2014 and could only collect the award earlier this month due to work commitments.
The Emmy is only awarded to those who demonstrate excellence in the television industry.
She said: “I was nominated for the Emmy by NBC America as part of their team as I set up the UK on-site production deal for NBC’s Premier League coverage and they magnanimously included me.
“Until December 2015 I worked at IMG Media where I was head of production managing the Premier League relationship. During the twelve years at IMG Premier League Productions (PLP), I was instrumental in the growth of PLP. We went from producing and broadcasting 10 live matches and one magazine show to the current 24-hour channel with daily live studio of up to nine hours per day, seven magazine shows and a staff of over 100 with up to 250 freelancers per week.
“I played a significant role in all stages of the planning, finance, commercial elements and launch of the PLTV channel that broadcasts to over 200 territories worldwide and was key to the growth of the multi-million pound budget.
“I have been in the television sports industry for over 20 years so to win this award is very rewarding.”
