Over the last 12 months it has become obvious to the UK Independence Party in the Forest of Dean that residents are dissatisfied with the work of their district and county councillors. At present these are substantially from the so-called three 'main' parties (the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats). UKIP are therefore inviting people to take part in an open meeting at Bream Rugby Club on May 18 (Friday) at 7.30pm.
UKIP was originally started as a party of protest against the European Union. But since then it has become clear that the three 'main' parties have not just betrayed the British people by surrendering power to Brussels, but also ignored local views about how best to govern our villages, towns and counties.
We want to hear about any problems people have locally, so that we can start to address them now – we want to work for the Forest of Dean all the time and not just at general elections. Please come along to the meeting and let us have your opinion on local issues, from car parking to wind turbines or rubbish collection to the Northern Arc development.
– Colin Guyton, UKIP Secretary, Forest of Dean branch, High Street, Ruardean.
