I WOULD like to say what Barbara Castle used to say: "jam yesterday, jam tomorrow but no jam today," meaning life was good yesterday and tomorrow but you would have to wait for any political party to deliver today.
At the moment we have a voting system where it just ping-pongs between the two main parties, Tory and Labour.
Neither keeps its word over manifestos so we just go on with the same old political 'old boys' spin.
Tories get into power and blame Labour for anything. Labour get in and do the same and blame the Tories.
Labour only got back in in some council areas because some Tory voters voted for UKIP this time.
If Labour does get back into power they would borrow and give away money as if it was going out of fashion as they did before.
They would not change until this country was totally bankrupt.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a Tory voter. Isn't it time we woke up and voted for a party that might actually listen to its people?
You may criticise UKIP voters but I'll tell you why I voted for them: how or why do we stay in a Europe that treats this country as a cash cow?
They, the EU, charge us £60 million a day just to be in their club. They would have more to lose than us if we did pull out Europe.
We have the rest of the world to trade with (if we have a good product it will sell around the world).
We would also be able to drop the multitude of laws that have descended upon us.
The EU is not working. (Other countries that were once pro-EU know this) and they who govern from across the water do not want to talk about our or others concerns.
Would you stay in an unhappy marriage if it were not working?
– UKIP voter.
