SO Gordon Blake thinks that another 750 houses will increase the population of Lydney by 5,000 (Feb 27). Is this typical of the maths used by councillors? How many families over six people now exist? And would they be able to afford these new homes?

Perhaps all his other "worries" are equally exaggerated.

As to no-one turning up at the public inquiry: did anyone know about it?

And how are those of us lucky enough to be in full time employment supposed to attend the new inquiry at the Town Hall? Arranged during working hours again – and closed in the lunchtime.

Come on Gordon, let's have something positive from you. – Margaret Walker, Lydney.
