•On May 13, 1913 the Forest and Mitcheldean residents in particular, were shocked by the news of a huge landslip at The Point, Mitcheldean. Hundred of tons of earth slipped down the bank taking away a pig's cot and pigs but leaving a cottage teetering on the brink. The building was subsequently demolished. These photographs were taken by A. G. Beeston, of Ross-on-Wye and are now in the Brian Clutterbuck collection. If you can help with more details Brian can be contacted on Dean 841206.
