I MUST say that your council or people responsible for keeping the roadside verges tidy should have a review of the people contracted to do the job.

It sadly looks to me as if they are using rotavators to cut the grass and in such a lovely place too.

As a very old local-born man I have to say that the local-born domestic pigs of the 1940s, with a row of rings along their snouts, and the free-roaming sheep of that era kept our Forest a much tidier place in which to live.

What's more their meat tasted good too.
