ONCE again the telephone box outside the Doctor's Surgery at Yorkley has been vandalised. The box was damaged very badly a few years ago.

The parish council approached BT who came along and repaired it after an elderly woman was left standing in wind and snow in a telephone box with no glass as she attempted to call her husband to collect her after she had visited the surgery.

Remember, many elderly people do not have mobile telephones and for those who do the signal at Yorkley is not very good.

The telephone box has now been damaged again. Even the telephone itself has been smashed.

I do hope the people responsible will never need to make an emergency phone call.
