EXTREMELY wet and windy weather may have forced the closure of the Severn bridge but it didn’t stop a Lydney teenager and her five friends from completing their fundraising walk across it.
In fact the adverse weather made Alice Scriven even more determined.
She said: “We’ve done our walk and raised more than £500. It was very wet and windy and the Severn bridge was closed but that didn’t stop us. We still pushed on!”
The 17-year-old who was born ‘without a voice’ and underwent treatment at Great Osmond Street Hospital in London wanted to give something back.
Donations can still be made at justgiving.com and search Alice Scriven – walking the bridge in pjs.
