PUPILS, staff, parents and governors at St John's C of E Primary School, Coleford, are celebrating after getting not one but two super inspection reports.

The school has been judged as "outstanding" after a Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools visit and by Ofsted as having "outstanding features". Highlighted in both reports are the high quality of relationships found within the school community and the high standard of care and guidance that children are offered.

All pupils make good progress due to consistently good teaching and learning in lessons is "typified by enthusiasm, enjoyment and engagement," says Ofsted.

It recognises the curriculum as being varied and often innovative, enhanced significantly by a number of enrichment activities.

Head teacher Jan Wagstaff said: "We are all delighted with the outcome of both reports. They reflect the hard work, dedication and commitment of everyone within the school community."
