I SHOULD like to take this opportunity to congratulate the organisers of Passage 2000. This was an imaginative and ambitious project which set out to link the communities of Arlingham and Newnham. The project had taken a year to organise and, on the weekend itself, involved hundreds of volunteer helpers on both sides of the Severn.
The two day event was a great success with thousands of people making the river crossing by hovercraft. As one of those who had a great day out, I should like to thank everyone involved in Passage 2000. – Heather Dalziel, county councillor for Severn Dean.
