THE Orchard Trust Day Services in Lydbrook had reason to celebrate recently after a successful first year of ACE.

ACE, which stands for Activities, Creativity, Engagement, is a day service that provides adults who have learning and physical disabilities, the elderly and the isolated the opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation within a safe, secure, friendly environment.

There is a huge variety of activities available including woodland walks, a working smallholding with livestock and seven different activity rooms including a sensory room, training kitchen and a pottery kiln.

Everyone enjoyed a slice of chocolate cake as the group celebrated.
