PEOPLE who have installed "eco" features in their homes will throw open their doors to the public over the weekend.
Homeowners will talk first hand about installing, using and living with energy saving measures and renewable energy technology.
The Monmouthshire eco open doors initiative includes homes in Chepstow, St Arvans and Caldicot, a school and village halls.
Solar panels and an air source heat pump, which takes air from outside and pumps the heat it contains into the home, have been installed at 14, Grange Park, St Arvans.
A solar water-heating system self-built in 1976, solar panels, internal wall insulation, door closers and a gas central heating system control have been installed at 15, The Pill, Caldicot.
Both are open on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 1pm and 1.30pm to 4pm.

Rogiet primary school pupils will take visitors on a tour of their timber-frame school built in 2009 to the latest energy efficiency standards including newspaper insulation and water harvesting.
The school is open on Sunday between 10am and noon.
Tidenham landshare has 20 allotment-style plots partly inspired by TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's landshare idea. It is open on Sunday between 10am and 1pm and 1.30pm-4pm on the A48 between Chepstow and Lydney.
There is also a "meet the installers" event at the Drill Hall in Chepstow on Saturday between 10am and 4pm with the chance to see experiments on how global warming works.
A free minibus will take visitors from the Drill Hall to Rogiet and Caldicot on Sunday leaving at 9.30am and returning at 12.30pm.
Call 0845 4580254 or e-mail sueparkinson @phonecoop.coop before 5pm on Friday (March 16) to book a place.
