IN light of the recent threats of court action by Two Rivers Housing against 11 Forest of Dean home owners for non-payment of grass-cutting charges, I am wondering if anyone knows what has happened to 'the committee' which was set up by Amanda Sterry?

When this all raised its head in 2008 she was key to galvanising the protest, organising a march in Cinderford and acting as leader and spokesperson. In the interim period she has been interviewed by your newspaper, arranged meetings with Mark Harper MP and 2RH, keeping us all informed and shouting the rallying cry. And thanks goodness for her.

I attended all the meetings and one thing Ms Sterry made clear was that we should wait until there was a test case, then all the 2,100 owner-occupiers would contribute to a fund and pay one barrister to represent all interests. Is that happening, does anyone know? Are we supporting the 11 test-cases as promised? Is the committee still functioning and is Amanda Sterry still at the helm?
