WHAT should have been the simple act of putting out the bin has turned a Forest man into an internet star.

A chilly morning provided Alun Miles, of Ruspidge, with two problems: one was getting his wheely bin out over an ice bound car park, the second was his wife filming the event.

After she uploaded the video to the internet, it promptly went viral, bringing a smile to the faces of people all over the country.

The scenes of Mr Miles trying to get the bin to the gate – while the bin lorry beeps in the background – has been watched thousands of times.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack reveals his wife, Samantha, and their children, Reuben and Zebediah, firstly try to shout instructions from the upstairs window to him on how to deal with the slippy conditions, before they descend into helpless laughter, the bin escapes capture over and over again.

Happily, the video ends with a successful exit for the bin as Mr Miles manages to grab his gate and pull himself, and his bin, through.
