THE closure of the Lydney Forest of Dean Council One Stop Shop on June 19 is outrageous.
The council is paying rent on the building for another 18 months and staff are being transferred to Coleford (albeit on fewer hours), so little advantage is being made. Why not open three days a week? It is our money that pays this rent – so we should benefit.
The staff do a marvelous job – they are always helpful and this shop always seems busy.
Where is our money going? This will be another empty shop for the centre of Lydney (with the rent being paid). – Adenough, Lydney.
