I AM trying to find out more about some relations of mine. My father Stanley Charles Bryant (dob 1901) and his brother Archibald Frances (dob 1903) lived at Wigpool (around 1911) with an Edward Young and his wife Lucy Young and son Albert Allen, after their father Walter Charles Bryant, of Bristol, died in 1909.
My father died in a car crash when he was 37 and I was seven. We know nothing of his childhood and have no photos or pictures he painted. He was a talented artist.
Also around 1909 the headmaster of Drybrook was a George Herbert Bryant (dob 1873) who had a son, Cecil George Stanley (dob 1900). Does anyone have information, school photos or information about the school between 1900 and 1914 when, I think, my father and his brother were there?
It also occurs to me that George Herbert Bryant may be related in some way to my father who came all the way to live in Wigpool from Bristol when he was only 10. – J. Bryant, Carmel Cottage, Castle Hill, Lynton, Devon EX35 6JA.
