MESSRS Williams and Meredith, and all others of their ilk, need to get a hold of themselves.
This is a wild forest. Nature isn't tidy.
If they want the sanitised version, they should consider selling up and moving to somewhere around Regents Park.
The boar being dangerous is a specious argument. Nobody acting sensibly has been hurt in this country or France, where they are endemic.
A few idiotic dog owners may have risked their pet's lives by not keeping them on a lead, or retreating from a sow with young. But that's it.
What next? Are we to cull all of the red deer because they can be dangerous in the rut? Are we to persecute tawny owls because they are vicious in defence of their young.
At least the boar bring in money and tourism to this benighted region. All many of the local humans contribute to the forest is their litter.
