THE Mid-Glos Mini Soccer League invited Cinderford Forest Rangers under-10s to its end of season presentation ceremony at Frampton to reward them for their sportsmanship during the 2010/11 season.
The award is given to the team who has been voted to have displayed the highest principles of sportsmanship by fellow league clubs. The under-10s received an incredible season average of 9.92 out of 10.
Looking smart in their shirts and ties, the boys were clearly enjoying the occasion and relishing the chance to pull on the black and red stripes one more time.
Running out to the Match of the Day theme tune and generous appreciation from a capacity crowd, the boys took to the field against Stonehouse Town.
While the emphasis was on celebrating sportsmanship, Rangers were soon into their stride and slipping through the gears. All 13 players were given an opportunity to represent the team, and to a man, they performed with the customary Rangers spirit and skill.
A thunderbolt from Lucas Gardner and an Anthony Hull tap-in, following a good passing move, settled the match in the Rangers' favour.
