OVERNIGHT storms flooded roads and brought down trees across the Forest of Dean.
There were long queues on commuter routes into Gloucester as drivers negotiated large areas of standing water.
The road to Blackpool Bridge near Soudley was cut off after a tree blocked the road on Wednesday morning.
Further on up the Ruspidge road a large tree was snapped by the wind and came within feet of blocking the road from Cinderford to Blakeney.
