POLICE are appealing for information after a woman believed to have been involved in a collision in Lydney last week was admitted to hospital yesterday and is now in a serious condition.

The 26-year-old Coleford woman is believed to have been an occupant of a blue Ford Fiesta that collided with an unoccupied green Peugeot Bipper van between the bottom of New Road and Park Hill in Whitecroft at around 12.20am on Thursday, April 14.

Another woman in the Fiesta was uninjured in the collision and remained with officers until the car was recovered.

As part of the investigation police seized the Fiesta and are now forensically examining it.

Officers have issued a photo of the Fiesta to prompt people’s memories and would like to hear from anyone who saw the car on the night of the collision or any other vehicle it was travelling with.
