MORE than £1,000 was raised at this years 14th Rotary Club Wye Run, which saw classic car enthusiasts from as far away as Sussex attend.

Glorious weather brought a good crowd of people out with their classic cars to enjoy a 100-mile scenic drive from Chepstow Garden Centre in Pwllmeyric, through the Monmouthshire and Herefordshire countryside and the Forest back to Tintern.

Along the way they stopped off for refreshments, a stroll around Hereford Cathedral and for a bit of retail therapy at Ross Labels.

Chris Wilson, spokesperson for Chepstow and District Rotary Club, said: “Everyone agreed that this had been a really enjoyable day and the Rotary Cub was thanked by the entrants for organising this special annual event.

“All of the monies received will be donated to Rotary charities.”
