MORE than 30 boar are roaming Yorkley and they have damaged the football pitch.
More than 30 sheep are causing a nuisance in Oldcroft and Yorkley.
Nothing new – we are used to it and remedial action is in hand.
What is new is vandalism and anti-social behaviour from very young people.
The new village hall suffered damage to fences and freshly poured concrete.
The skatepark was used for a fire, causing expensive and extensive damage.
In this event brilliant work from by our local CPSO team apprehended two of those involved.
Hopefully this will bring vandalism to a stop.
The young motorcyclists that have been riding recklessly, aggressively and noisily through the village and on the football pitch are harder to stop – they have to be apprehended in the act.
All this is particularly galling when, at the same time, trustees of the village hall are preparing complex funding bids to secure a youth programme.
Parents, please control your children.
– Cllr Don Pugh (Lab), Forest of Dean District Council, Pillowell.
