IF you go to Speech House on April 10 you might be forgiven for thinking you have spots in front of your eyes.

Spotty dogs should be there in abundance for a Dalmatian Carriage Dog Training Day organised by the West branch of the British Carriage Dog Society.

"It's for owners of dalmatians who wish to have a go at the trials with their dogs, horses and carriages – or we can provide the horse and carriage if needed," says a spokesman.

"We held a local training day last October which was attended by 13 dalmatians and their owners, with dogs coming from as far afield as Merseyside, West Wales and Wiltshire."

On April 10 participants will have a chance to try their hand at an obedience section and an endurance section which is a 10 kilometre (six-mile) drive through the Forest, all off road.

Spectators are very welcome, says the spokesman.
