AN EXHIBITION of TaeKwon-Do led by the new instructor at Caldicot TaeKwon-Do club was held at the town's leisure centre.

Mr Leigh Pember and students who have competed internationally gave a demonstration of high level skills before holding a masterclass for those who had come along.

The evening included Mr Pember and members of Team Kwon-Do from Nelson near Caerphilly breaking concrete blocks and pieces of wood with hands and feet.

Mr Pember is a sixth degree black belt in the martial art and will be running sessions at Caldicot Leisure Centre on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 8pm.

He said: "TaeKwon-Do is massive around the world and here in Wales.

"I have students in Nelson who have competed at international level and we will be looking to develop the sport here in Caldicot."
