TWO young boxers from Chepstow have been selected for the Welsh squad at the British Schoolboy Boxing Championships next month.

Jamie Morley and Scott Webber, of Chepstow Amateur Boxing Club, caught the eye of selectors with good performances recently.

Although there are just a few weeks between their birthdays, the 13-year-olds are to box in different age categories.

Head coach of Chepstow ABC Mr Terry Dymock said: "They are both good boys and they are chuffed to bits to be going to the British championships.

"They are training well and it would be great if they could come away with a medal."

The championships take place in Pontypridd on July 6 and 7.
