CHEPSTOW Town twice came from behind in an incident-packed game to earn a draw at Newport neighbours Llanwern.

Both sides missed each missed a penalty, Town had another turned down on the final whistle and Llanwern saw red twice in an exciting Welsh League division three game.

Llanwern took the lead from a set-piece but Rich Sharratt levelled just before the break.

Chepstow went behind again with Llanwern scoring on 65 minutes but an opportunity to level the scores went begging as a Jason Thorn penalty and follow-up attempt was saved.

At the other end Callum George – in for regular keeper Craig Brimble – also saved a spot kick to keep Town in the game.

Sharratt earned Town the draw with an equaliser and was unlucky not to have a late penalty.

Two Llanwern players were sent off, one for a heavy challenge and the other for a verbal indiscretion.
