Chepstow Cricket Club will be holding pre-season nets for senior players and will welcome new players.

Nets take place on each Sunday in March at Caldicot Leisure Centre between 2pm and 4pm.

 The club runs four league sides on a Saturday, a friendly XI on a Sunday and a full range of competitive junior sides ranging from Under-11 to Under-17.

The club's first team will be captained in 2012 by all-rounder Jason Dobbie and the seconds will once again be led by Huw Rogers.    

The firsts and seconds play in Division One of the Glamorgan and Mon­mouthshire Cricket League whilst the thirds and fourths play in the Welsh club Cricket Conference.

The club will be looking to utilise the products of their successful youth structure by selecting talented young players such as Jake Kings, Mitchell Harris, Ben Jones, Tom Smith, Luke Watson and David Monk who have all represented the first team by the age of 17.

In 2012 the club is pleased to welcome former Somerset and Devon Minor Counties man Nick Folland who having moved to the area, will play a vital role in the ongoing development of the younger players
