ROSS Seconds picked up a win against fellow Division Three strugglers Moccas.

Division Three’s bottom two were each looking for their third win of the season and it was Ross who emerged victorious by five wickets.

Ross bowlers Wayne Husbands, Adam Davies and Tal Minnie each claimed two wickets as the Hereford side were dismissed for 157.

Ross passed the target having faced just 30 overs.

Ross firsts were unable to make it a double celebration, going down to defeat at Brockhampton in the Marches Division One.

Ross had struggled to put on early runs but there was a tail-end flourish with the bat.

The highest scorer was Ross was number nine batsman Paul Morris who was on 31 when the visitors’ innings closed.

Number seven Stuart Mair contributed 21 runs but was eventually caught.

Adam Davies, at number 10 was bowled for 22 and the only other Ross player to reach double figures was opener Charlie Cole who was caught for 17.

Ross set their hosts a target of 118 which they reached for the loss of four wickets.

Paul Morris and Alexander Springer each took two wickets.

Goodrich amassed an incredible 359-4 as they crushed Builth Wells.

Rory Jackson hit 112, James O’Brien 62, Andrew Brown 53,Tom Billson, 43 and Joe Provis 41.

Builth went for 137 giving Goodrich the maximum 25 match points
