FOREST rivalries were put aside for a charity match which raised more than £6,500.
Players from Bream, Cinderford, Drybrook and Lydney joined current and former Premiership and international stars for the inaugural Wayne Barnes invitation match.
The game at Bream RFC was a tribute to the international ref's late mother-in-law Debbie Broderick who died in 2007 aged 56 from breast cancer.
The match raised money for the Debbie Broderick Pink Ribbon Tribute Fund – visit http://www.tribute.breastcancercampaign.org/debbie-broderick">www.tribute.breastcancercampaign.org/debbie-broderick for more information.
Wayne said: "Despite the rain it was a fantastic day and we estimate there were around 600 people. "My side just snuck it and our captain, Shaun Perry, scored a length of the field try.
"One of the highlights was probably me being yellow carded by (international referee) Chris White."
The game was followed by a question-and-answer session with stars Lee Mears, Nick Wood and Shaun Perry.
